Our beautiful baby girl, Rielyn is now 18 months old and at about 9 months was diagnosed with bilateral profound hearing loss

Our beautiful baby girl, Rielyn is now 18 months old and at about 9 months was diagnosed with bilateral profound hearing loss; that later was determined congenital. This means, she was born deaf and it was missed at her infant screening. Her hearing aids are not working for her so we have no other option to give her the best life possible and go ahead with cochlear implants. It is a very serious surgery…but she will hear!!!!

Lance Armstrong finishes 22nd

SILVER CITY, N.M. -- Lance Armstrong said Wednesday there were plenty of good reasons he wanted to return to the Tour of the Gila in New Mexico.

Big climbs, a time trial, a competitive field.

The seven-time Tour de France champion finished 22nd in the Tour of the Gila's opening stage, a 95-mile road race to Mogollon that was capped by a grueling climb over the final five miles.

Please stop the sound of silence for our sweet little girl. We can only dream that one day soon she will hear us tell her how much we love her, respond to her name, hear her brothers sing to her, hear music, birds and the beautiful sound of her own laughter.
Most insurance companies, including ours, only pay for one cochlear implant for one ear. She received this first implant Feb. 16, 2010. But now we have to pay for the second one, which means coming up with about $60,000 out-of-pocket. Our family has been raising money and getting donations since she was diagnosed. We will not stop our fundraising efforts until our goal is reached. Every penny goes into her special account, which will soon go into an account at All Children’s in St. Pete, FL. Imagine if this was your child, wouldn’t you do anything and everything in your power to give her the chance to hear?
We thank you in advance for your support, and appreciate any donation or contribution you can give. If you are able, please make checks payable to:
